SAMIRUL ARIFF BIN OTHMAN
Samirul Ariff Othman is a widely quoted Economist & International Relations Analyst. He was a Senior Research Officer at the Malaysian Institute of Economic Research (MIER). He attended Macquarie University where he graduated with a Master of International Relations degree and Sydney Institute of Business and Technology (SIBT) where he undertook modules in Economics, Finance and Marketing. At undergraduate level, he majored in Applied Science (Microbiology) and Business Administration.
Samirul has been engaged as a consultant for government agencies and international institutions such as the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia (ERIA). He has also been actively involved in planning, organising, leading and coordinating seminars and conferences such as the National Economic Outlook Conference (NEOC), MIER’s Corporate Economic Briefing (CEB), MIER’s National Economic Briefing (NEB), Asian Development Bank (ADB)–Asian Think Tank Development Forum and Research Institutes’ Network (RIN) Meeting.
